We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have.
As the Headteacher of Brownlow Primary School, it is a pleasure to introduce this thriving school to you. The school is full of life and looking forward to the future with energy and enthusiasm.
During their years at Browlow Primary School, children are given the opportunity to study a range of subjects, sometimes as topics which cut across subjects and involve various skills. This provides them with a broad base on which to build for success at the Secondary phase of their education. Class teaching and discussion allows for a greater exploration of ideas, while individual work ensures that particular pupils’ strengths and weaknesses are addressed.
The highly committed staff at Brownlow Primary School aim to create a stimulating and attractive learning environment, where children are encouraged to develop initiative, independence, self-confidence and a sense of responsibility.
Brownlow staff also work hard to create a working environment in which all children are expected to do well, and one where achievement is celebrated at all levels.
Our school believes in the value of home-school partnerships, where children share their homework with interested adults and where the staff shares curriculum intentions with parents regularly.
Our school values the community and recognises the contribution it can bring to the education of the children in our care. We actively seek and encourage positive partnerships with all who can help us develop, as a centre of excellence and enjoyment.
Our success is society’s gain, and to achieve such a laudable aim, the staff at Brownlow work in partnership with parents and governors. As a result of people working together towards common aims, the school builds capacity as a community where individuals are respected and valued, and one in which children can reach their full potential.
We belong to a Mutli Academy Trust called the Mowbray Education Trust. This means that we work closely with five other local schools and one pre-school setting:
